(Feb 15, 2011) For those parents having difficulty with unethical and over-zealous CAS workers who are not registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers, this letter may be of help to craft your own complaint letter to the College.

All parents having problems with unregistered CAS workers must file a compliant with the Ontario College. Those with complaints MUST remember that the College cannot act on the specifics of what the unregistered CAS worker did can deal the broader issue of the CAS worker being engaged in the practice of social work.

Report reveals massive violations to the law by CAS workers in Ontario

Canada Court Watch writes to Sudbury Regional Hospital regarding CAS workers 1  

(Feb 4, 2011) As part of the effort in Ontario to bring in greater transparency and accountability and awareness as to the unlawful practice of social work in Ontario, Canada Court Watch has sent a letter to the Board of Directors of the Sudbury Regional Hospital in regards to the involvement of CAS at hospitals. A copy of this letter can be downloaded at the link below.

Canada Court Watch received a report by parents in the region indicating that they believed that at least one CAS worker was working alongside hospital staff at the hospital.

Muskoka, Ontario CAS worker claims - We CERTIFY OURSELVES! +  

(Jan 28, 2011) In recent months, Canada Court Watch has been reporting on a number of flagrant violations of the law by CAS workers with the Muskoka CAS. Some workers with this agency continue to break the law to make fools of themselves in the eyes of the public.

Parents Complaint Letter to CAS - Unlawful practice of social work by CAS +  

(June 26, 2011) The attachment below contains a sample template letter that parents can use to write to the Director of their local CAS agency in Ontario highlighting the issue of the unlawful practice of social work by unqualified CAS workers. As this letter is being posted for the purpose of providing an example for other parents to follow in order to make similar complaints. Names have been removed.

Simcoe Childrens Aid Society Worker charged for fraud, theft and uttering false documents 1  

(Jan 26) An employee of the Simcoe Children's Aid Society has been charge by local police for fraud, theft and uttering false documents. Parents in court complaint all the time about CAS workers uttering false documents and committing perjury. See the attached police press release relating to this Simcoe CAS worker.

Evaluation form to determine if a CAS worker is engaged in social work and breaking the law

(Jan 24, 2011) Members of the public are being asked to review and to provide their comments on a new tool being developed for families to determine if CAS workers who are not registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers are breaking the law. The tool, with a sample included, can be found at the link below.
