Sample complaint letter template to the Ontario College of Social Workers

(Feb 15, 2011) For those parents having difficulty with unethical and over-zealous CAS workers who are not registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers, this letter may be of help to craft your own complaint letter to the College.

All parents having problems with unregistered CAS workers must file a compliant with the Ontario College. Those with complaints MUST remember that the College cannot act on the specifics of what the unregistered CAS worker did can deal the broader issue of the CAS worker being engaged in the practice of social work.

For more information on the obligations of the College and the Act which requires that CAS workers be registered with the College, then read the document, "The Unlawful Practice of Social Work in Ontario by CAS workers" written by V. Beck which can be downloaded at the top of the news page on the CCW webpage.

When sending out complaints be sure to send out copies to the CC list.
