Lawsuit served on Principal and York Region School Board for unlawful detention of children by CAS

(June 29, 2011) Today, a multi-million dollar lawsuit was served upon a principal with the York Board of Education, Mr. Baber, as well as the Board of Education. This lawsuit stems back to when CAS workers instructed Mr. Baber to detain two children in his office and not allow the children to go with their parent.

The CAS worker who told Mr. Baber to unlawfully hold the children was unregistered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and working unlawfully but for some reason Mr. Baber felt that he had a greater obligation to unregistered and unregulated CAS workers working unlawfully than to the parents and children in the community he was supposed to be serving. Chilling video testimony of the children's ordeal as they were locked up in Mr. Baber's office can be viewed on the Canada Court Watch video website. See the video called the unlawful abduction by school officials. Other children in Ontario have provided video testimony as well to Canada Court Watch investigators about similar situations in other Ontario schools.

Stay tuned as full details of this story will be released in an upcoming Canada Court Watch Report.

Unless school boards get their act together and stop allowing the rights of children to be violated in schools, there will be more lawsuits against school board. Canada Court Watch will be providing public information seminars on how parents can take their school board to court if their children's rights have been violated at their school because of Children's Aid Society.

Those who hold positions that involve the interactions with parents's children, MUST understand that they are not above the law and will be held accountable the same as anyone else should they violate the rights of children and/or the children's parent(s).

The Nuremberg defence or pleading ignorance to the law is not a defence when breaking the law, especially when it is done by those who are paid professionals who ought to know the law and certainly ought to be able to recognize policies that violate the law.

It has become quite clear that school officials have been misled to believe that CAS agencies and CAS workers can order employees of the educational system to do what they are told. This is a huge mistake! The York Region School Board and some of their employees are now being held accountable in Civil Court including a Criminal Investigation sought by a parent who's children were Criminally violated while the local police conveniently attempted to sweep a criminal matter under the rug.

This kind of abuse will not be tolerated by this father!

It's about time that the schools started openning their eyes to the crimes they are carring out for the Children's Aid Societies here in Ontario. It says in their own policies that our children are protected while in the public schools durring school hours. Where is the protection when all the schools here in Ontario are allowing the CAS to illegally remove children from the schools behind the parents backs with no consent from the parent or child. Maybe now they will really start to protect our children's rights while in their care to avoid further lawsuits. It just amazzes me how for a parent has to go to get any kind of justice when it comes to a privit organization like the Children's Aid Society.
