Justice Wood of Bracebridge, Ontario Court impressed by the efforts of Canada Court Watch supporters

(March 15, 2010) It was reported to Canada Court Watch by parties who appeared before Justice Wood at the court in Bracebridge, Ontario that Justice Wood was very impressed with the assistance provided by Canada Court Watch to the parties before him in his court.

With the help of good citizens and volunteer supporters with Canada Court Watch, the parties were able to close down their court case, get CAS out of their lives and reach a peaceful solution to their once adversarial court matters involving the CAS. Both parties walked out of the court together.

The successful outcome was achieved after the parties figured out what was going on and then got rid of their lawyers and began to represent themselves. Instead of lawyers, the couple sought help and guidance from other parents in the community.

Both parties acknowledged that most of the harm done to their children and family was as a result of the adversarial involvement of the court and the unregistered workers with the Muskoka CAS.

Once the CAS and the court saw that they could no longer pit the couple against each other the case quickly came to a peaceful conclusion. The children involved are overjoyed to have the CAS out of their lives.

Thanks for the helpful post.

I have observed Justice Wood numerous times in court as I visited helping people in the Bracebridge Courthouse. I saw that the Judge became uneasy when he noticed that there were members of the public in the courtroom paying attention to what is going on.

I also noticed that his demeanour had changed with our presence as reported to me by the public. It tells me supporting my notion that it is important to have members of the public observe and scrutinize if need be the actions of Judges who really are members of the public just like you and I with a job to do with rules and perimeters.

When I heard of the positive outcome of this once raging war between two people heavily aided and fuelled by CAS, the OPP and the judicial system, it brought a sense of happiness especially knowing that former husband and wife were able to settle their custody issue between themselves without lawyers. They did so amicably unlike the typical acrimonious atmosphere of most divorcing couples.

Unfortunately, the cost was losing their matrimonial home and tens of thousands of dollars in various legal and other ancillary costs wasted and spent to fuel the ferocious appetite of Family Court war. The even bigger cost and damage was what the children had to suffer enduring deep harm, much of which was due to the terrible negative effect of the Muskoka CAS, the OPP and the Justice System that enabled both of these bodies who are designed to keep children and citizens safe while the Justice System meant to keep balance and fairness amongst the people.

They all failed to do good, until this mom and dad took control of their destiny and that of their children. CAS, OPP cops, the judicial system are not put there by tax dollars to harm children and citizens and to make life miserably difficult. CAS are put there to ensure children are safe, the cops to keep the Queens Peace while they serve and protect the public and the Judicial System to aid citizens negotiate and settle their differences in a balanced just manner.

It seems most of the very expensive bodies that are funded by our tax dollar to overlook the well being of Canadians are running in high gear and out of control. It is time for citizens take control and bring harmony back within our respective communities.
