Children abused by CAS in the Trillium Lakelands District School Board district in spite of warnings to Board

(Feb 26, 2011) Just this week, more young children have reported being abused by unregistered CAS workers while at their school in the Trillium Lakeland District School Board. In a letter sent from Court Watch to the Board back in December of 2010, the Board was warned of the problem of unregistered CAS workers harassing children almost three months ago, with no action being taken. The Board did not even respond to the letter from Court Watch which is why we have decided to make the letter public at this time. Unless action is to be taken by the Board soon, a public awareness campaign will be launched in the Trillium Lakeland District School District o bring this problem to the attention of parents in the area. Schools are for children to feel safe and secure, not be subjected to bullying an intimidation by unregistered CAS workers who strike fear into children at their schools.

Readers may read the attached letter to the Board of Education dated December 6, 2010. A new letter will be sent to the Board in follow-up in the next few days.

Any parent who has problems with CAS workers going into their child's school and is willing to provide testimony is pleased ask to contact Canada Court Watch with details of the CAS involvement at their child's school.
